SEVENDUST Guitarist Completes Work On Solo EP
October 10, 2008SEVENDUST guitarist Clint Lowery has set HELLO DEMONS… MEET SKELETONS has the name of his new solo project. The project's debut release will be an EP entitled "Chills" which he says contains "mostly acoustic songs that I wrote about events that happened in my life over the past two years. It was something I wanted to do while waiting for the writing process for SEVENDUST to start up and on my off time. It was something I wanted to get out of my system and at the same time raise some money for charity. I played everything on it and took on the singing duties. I recorded it with my brother (Corey Lowery; DARK NEW DAY/ex-STUCK MOJO bassist) which he produced, engineered and mixed. We completed it in 10 days and began it September 11. We finished six songs."
He adds, "At this time this is something I'm releasing myself and it will be available on iTunes and other digital stores around mi-November. Also there will be hard copies available for purchase and details for that will be released. Closer to that time I will post a link that will send you directly there to purchase. Some of the proceeds will be going to Make-A-Wish Foundation and possibly others but I'm still working on options for that."
SEVENDUST will shortly begin work on the follow-up "Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow" (7Bros/Asylum),which came out last spring. "I'm very excited about working on the new SEVENDUST record that will be over the top and ruthless!" says Lowery.
The set's current single, "The Past", features a guest appearance from Chris Daughtry.
